Starting your aviation career in helicopters could begin here, with 5 steps to becoming a qualified Instructor.
It all starts by learning to fly and gaining your Private Pilots Licence (PPL) (Step 1), which takes approximately 50 hours flight time and 9 multiple choice exams. Following that comes your commercial licence (ATPL or CPL). This involves hour building (Step 2) and gaining experience, and passing 14 (ATPL) or 13 (CPL) multiple choice exams (Step 3). Once all completed, the commercial flying training begins (Step 4), which is approximately 30 hours flight time. After more hour building, the instructor flying training (Step 5) can begin and be completed.
